July 24th - July 27th 2008,  Mark your calendar for the largest all junior stage race in the country, The BYRDS 5th Annual Tour Of Idaho, (TOI) is a fully supported epic race that offers something for junior racers ages 10 to 18.  All USA Cycling junior age categories  for both male and female are recognized and awarded.  Ages 15–16 and 17-18 will race a  prologue, a road race, a circuit race, a hill climb TT, and a Criterium, while ages 10-12 and 13-14 will race the circuit race, the hill climb TT, and the Criterium.

The TOI  is once again part of the Lance Armstrong Olympic Race Series, (LAJORS).  LAJORS is entering its 16th year in 2008, the LAJORS is a program designed by USA Cycling and endorsed by seven-time Tour de France winner and Olympic medalist Lance Armstrong and provides racing opportunities for junior and U23-aged athletes. Over the course of the last 15 years, the series has evolved into a nationally-recognized junior development program.
 
The LAJORS is part of USA Cycling’s athlete development pipeline and gives developing riders aged 15-22 a chance to earn an invitation to USA Cycling Regional Development Camps via a top-five placing in a series race.
