RIDING NOTES: Fall & Winter riding - Tempertures and weather conditions change quickly - when you can ride outside take note to always wear your COLD WEATHER GEAR (vests, long sleeve jerseys, long finger gloves, rain jackets, leg warmers) for every ride. Always remember that it is easier to take an extra jacket or vest off during a ride than to not have the jacket or vest with you. Wear leg warmers when the temperatures are below 65 degrees to protect the knees.
Be cautious on the roads due to sand and water, stay off of wet/muddy trails, and be aware of leaves on the roads and trails as they will be slippery. Utilize the rear brake over the front brake in slick and sandy conditions. As well, trails can be frosty and slippery on north facing trails and slopes.
Be visible to motorists and other cyclistsuse signals when riding in traffic, and be consistent in your riding actions. Ride on!,
