RIDING NOTES: Winter to spring riding - Temperatures are starting to warm up, however weather conditions change quickly - when you can ride outside take note to always wear your COOL WEATHER GEAR (vests, long sleeve jerseys, long finger gloves, rain jackets, leg warmers) for every ride. Always remember that it is easier to take an extra jacket or vest off during a ride than to not have the jacket or vest with you. Wear leg warmers when the temperatures are below 65 degrees to protect the knees.
Be cautious on the roads due to sand and water, IT IS TEMPTING>>>HOWEVER STAY OFF of wet/muddy trails, and be aware of debris on the roads and trails. Utilize the rear brake over the front brake in slick and sandy conditions. As well, trails can be still be frosty and slippery on north facing trails and slopes.
At all times be visible to motorists, other cyclists, and use signals when riding in traffic, and be consistent in your riding actions. Ride on!,
